Every year at the LPSC MUN, we try to make it more than just an academic exercise, enabling students to think critically, communicate effectively and work collaboratively with people from diverse backgrounds. These are the skills that students need today—skills that will shape them into responsible global citizens and future leaders.
But beyond these debates and resolutions, what truly matters is the understanding gained about different mindsets, cultures and the importance of diplomacy in resolving conflicts.
Lucknow Public Schools and Colleges in their Barabanki branch hosted the Inter School Lucknow Public Schools and Colleges Model United Nations (MUN) on 9th October 2024, inviting numerous schools from the various districts of Uttar Pradesh like Lucknow, Sitapur, Hardoi and Lakhimpur Kheri along with Delhi to engage in discussions on global issues. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 100 delegates and their teacher coordinators
With a total of six committees- UNEP, UNDP, UNSC, ICJ, AIPPM and IP, the MUN focused on a spectrum of international issues, fostering in-depth debates and innovative solutions.
Additional District Judge in Sessions Court, Barabanki- Hon'ble Shrikrishna Chandra was the Chief Guest for the event. The event was graced by the presence of Ex. MLC Mrs. Kanti Singh, Administrative Head of Lucknow Public Schools & Colleges, - Director Mrs. Neha Singh, Deputy Director Ms. Meena Tangri and Principal, SDSN Inter College Mr. Avani Kamal.
The LPSC MUN is an event held annually under the able guidance of Dr. S. P. Singh, Hon’ble Member of Parliament & Founder and Chairman of Lucknow Public Schools and Colleges and the Chief Patron of LPSC MUN along with Mr. Harshit Singh, General Manager, Lucknow Public Schools and Colleges. The event proves to be more enriching and endearing each year.
